KELSEY WALKER

My name is Kelsey Walker and I am Miss Broward County Teen USA!  I am a native Floridian, born in this gorgeous state seventeen years ago. I feel truly honored and blessed to have represented my beautiful and beloved, Broward County.

My parents have always demonstrated to me that hard work and the pursuit of excellence matters. My mother is a teacher and emerging entrepreneur. My father is a state law enforcement director and is truly dedicated to his family and the safety of all citizens within our state.  Both are positive examples that have guided and aided me in my life choices and my future.

Presently, I am a senior in high school. From an early age I had to learn to master and maintain a successful work/life and school balance. I have been blessed to be an advanced honor student and earn many USAG state, regional and national level gymnastics titles. Also, I pride myself in being a community servant and activist. My unique life experiences have embedded in me the importance of commitment, hard work and perseverance. These values assisted in me building  my confidence as a strong young woman. With every challenge I encounter, I've learned to face my fears head on. In addition, defeating those challenges prove to be a positive driving force in my life. Hard work is important and true sacrifice and dedication are important aspects of both personal and emotional growth. I believe this whole-heartedly.

I am passionate about my faith as it is the foundation of my existence. I love and I am dedicated to my family. My focus in life is keeping God first and being the best person I can be. I plan to pursue a career in medicine, becoming a cardiologist and saving lives.
